Each port supports transmission speeds of up to 921600bps and includes automatic data flow direction control. The card accommodates asynchronous point-to-point or point-to-multipoint (half and full duplex) communication with support for twisted-pair or shielded cable media. Built-in TVS protection safeguards each port from up to 400W surge voltage and ±20kV electrostatic discharge, making it suitable for use in electrically harsh environments.

This PCIe to 8 Ports RS422-485 Serial Card also features UART support for 7 or 8 data bits, various stop bit/parity settings, and full software/hardware flow control.
